I had a fault for a "bad ignitor" on the left side impact airbag (didn't catch the exact fault # when I spoke to the service manager). Had this replaced at a dealer and everything was fine for about 5 days, then the same fault returned. They think maybe the the airbag control unit needs replaced, but said that would be odd for a car that has never had its airbags deploy. I found many topics on airbag faults and how to clear them but no topics on reoccurring failures. Ideas anyone?

Also, I'm scheduled to autocross it next weekend; Does anyone know if an airbag fault would pass tech inspection at the track?
