Hello guys, I am trying to decipher the color codes on 1999 Carrera.

External code L92U = Arctic Silver Metallic

But I have no idea what kind of red color is my interior. In the "Fahrzeugdaten" section, the only code is MA.

Any ideas? Thanks.

Here are some more codes for the experts. I really have no idea which is the interior leather code.

996 110

M9601-66X A9600-10

L92U MA

None of those is your interior color code.

If it is a MY99 and it was a optional (not special order) interior color then the interior color is likely Boxster Red.

Click on the link in my signature to se pictures of my MY99 Carrera in Artic Silver and Boxster Red interior.

Thanks Loren, it looks very similar to your interior. I will take pictures and ask you again for help.

Do you have any idea where I can find the interior color code? Not that I need it badly, but this has started to bug me :P

Check on your registration papers or the bill of sale.

The only other way is to get a Certificate of Authenticity from Porsche. They do this in the US but I do not know if they offer it in Europe. In the US it costs about $150 - and they send you a certificate that shows what the car sold for (MSRP) and all colors and options.

As far as I know there isn't an official list of interior codes shown on the Vehicle Identification Label. By comparing the colour codes shown in the Porsche PET, and the codes shown in the Order Guides, I compiled the list below. The letter/number shown is the first character of the Interior Colour Code shown on the VIL. The "M" in your interior code would bear this out.

3 – Natural Grey

4 – Natural Brown or Cashmere Beige

6 – Classic Grey

8 – Black

A – Black

C – Graphite Grey

S – Savannah

G – Metropole Blue

E – Metropole Blue

B – Space Grey

J – Nephrite Green

M – Boxster Red

D – Natural Dark Grey

T – Natural Brown

P – Cinnamon Brown
