Hey guys. I need some help with my brake wear light. My brake wear light has been on and I knew the brakes needed to be changed. I finally got around to changing them this weekend, all four wheels. I chose not to replace the brake wear sensors. I removed the sensors and then cut them back by using wire cutters to clip them above the location of both inserts that came out of each side of the pad. I wrapped each of the two wires on each side in electrical tape and used a twist tie to tie them back from the brake system. I did this on all four wheels. When finished.... the brake wear light is still on and nothing i seem to do turns it off.

Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.

I even looked to see if i could find the fuse that controlled it but it doesnt appear to be one that controls just it.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks Loren,

That makes sense now. I was thinking it was the opposite way around. If i splice the two wires together will it complete the circuit ? Or do I need to connect them somewhere else individually? Thanks for your help.
