my car 2001 c4 manual 6, has had a recurring p0410 and p1411, I have read the post's on the forum's and I have replaced a few items(vacuum canister and most of the vacuum hoses with a electric changeover valve, the one behind the alternator, however I still get the same codes days after resetting, moreover my check engine light comes on after the car has been running for awhile, which i assume should not happen. To the best of my knowledge the air injection pump only runs for a minute or so after starting car for first time why would it trigger say 45 minutes into a drive? any ideas?

I'm sure others have a spot on diagnostic, but If you replaced the air/electric changeover values and your fan runs properly then it probably is a leak somewhere in your secondary air intake system. I just did this service 3 months ago and it fixed those same faults. Also, when my codes did pop, they did so shortly after start-up and driving(maybe 2-5 minutes) not 45. Double checking all components for leaks might be a good preliminary start.

It is normal to have the air pump come after some sustained driving at speed. This usually happens when you come off the freeway and the car is idling at a stoplight. In most cases about 30 seconds of air pump run time.
