Hi all,

My keyhead is falling to pieces so I bought another one on eBay.

I can move the keyblade across and even move the remote electronics across but the transponder seems to be glued in. Is there an easy way to swap this over?

Are there any other things I need to do? I don't have the barcode so can't program the new head into the car, hence the need to simply swap the plastic casing over...

Thanks in advance,

Chirag.

I have not seen the inside of a 987. Here is a 986. It is easy to remove the "pill" for the immobilizer. It is cliped in, not glued.

Can you do that on a 987?

I had a guy break mine in a NTB store. It cost 100 for the dealer to reprogram my key, plus $200 for a replacement head. I tried exchanging the chips and it didn't work.
