i was going to change the fuel filter, after a bout of bad gas.

I let the car sit for a day and popped off the clip that hold the fuel line on the end of the fuel filter. All is good, i pulled the fuel line apart but fuel started to come out.

I got nervous and re-attached the line.

However, now the sytem wont repressurize and the car wont start.

I know this is something stupidly simply but, the fuel pump does not seem to be putting pressure back into the line, what am i missing?

Thanks..

I love to play but dam really should not.

to close this .. since no one is taking any interest in it. I had the car flat beded to my service place, who spent 2 hours pouring over the car.

they finally scoped the tank, and it was bone dry. just before they removed the feul pump.. holy chist. .. turns out the fuel gauge was totally out of calibratoins and was showing 1/2 a tank, but it was totally emply..

lesson? dont trust your fuel guage!

this lesson cost 375.00.. including the tow.

That is totally amazing! The reliability of theses gauges never seem to be considered an issue. Now we know better!

Thanks for sharing this unusual event!

Glad you got it sorted!
