Need help. Came back from the store where i put my groceries in the trunk. The trunk will not release and I'm hungry.

I can hear the solenoid make some noise but the kerchunk I normally hear is very quite now. Although I know the battery is good, I tried an external battery on the post inside the fuse panel, the same result. Even tried with the car running.

Is there any other way of getting inside the trunk? Any emergency release?

Thanks,

Scott

Have someone pry up lightly on the trunk lid as you actuate the button.

Dinner is saved! I searched and found someone mention that he put some elbow grease into the hood as he pressed the release button. So I pressed down hard a few times (kinda like CPR chest compressions) as my son hit the release button and the trunk did open.

I will look at the DIY - Adjusting Hood Latch Mechanism - this weekend. Not sure how it would have come out of alignment, but something is up. For now I have a chicken to eat.

THANKS!
