"CDS T 09" text on display?

I just bought a 2004 Cayenne S and it's at 39,400 miles currently and I have the "Service Now" text showing on the central display and the engine icon is illuminated. These only come on when the key is turned to accessory and goes off when it's running, is that normal or should it remain on? I am assuming/hoping is just telling me it's due for the next oil change but I read there's an indicator in miles so maybe I'm just overdue?

Also in the central display is showing "CDS T 09" and it has also shoan the last two numbers as 02 and 03. What does this mean? I scoured the manual for info but cannot find any and it's really got me perplexed.

The service reminder will shown only when you turned on the engine and it goes off after while. it's normal.

The CDS T09, isn't that indicating the sound track you are listening? CDS T09 (CD Single, Track 09)

Thanks, that sounds likely with the CD player, I thought it would end up being something that should have been obvious to me.

So the fact that the display reads "service now" and engine icon is lighted only when it's on accessory mode, is that likely something more serious or what's your best guess? I thought it was just the vehicle illuminating all warning lights as most cars do, but everything else goes off except for those two, until I start it.

As mentioned in my original post, I did read the manual before posting. I actually spent several hours last night and today just learning all the features since I'm a car nut, but I just didn't find these specific issues addressed.

Either your car needs an oil change or it was changed and the service indicator was not reset
