I just purchased what has been described to me as a 2004 Cayenne Turbo. VIN is wp1ac29px4la90123. I am guessing that the 4 before the l indicates that it is a 2004 model year. The in service date however is 4-22-03, and I have seen 2003 models with older in service dates. Does anyone think that there is a problem? How can a 2004 model be built and in service before some 2003 models, and might this be a Porsche error.

Pardon me if this is not the appropriate forum but I couldn't see a better one.

ON another note - best dam??? car I have ever owned and I just sold my 03 M5 and still have my e-36 M3. Previous vettes, Bimmers, RR, Jags saloon and e-types etc - only 2 Porsche autos were a 356b bathtub in the 70's and a frustrating 928 in 1992.
