window not dropping

hi everyone...... i'm new here and already asking for help

just bought my first boxster 5 days ago year 2000, 2.7 and already got a problem, hope this isnt a bad sign.......... when opening the drivers door from the outside the window has stopped dropping down until the door is open about half an inch, everything works fine from the inside ( window falls down immediateley ).... is this straight forward to fix....

There is a switch on the handle. Operate the handle and see if you can hear it click.

will try this in morning matey, just got home from work. need a drink and supper...

i presume if i dont hear it click it must be out of adjustment..............

is it easy to adjust / get at............ ?

After checking fall the micro-switches and if they are not the problem, likely you need a new door lock. I had the same problem on my 97 boxster. Once I changed the door lock, no problems.

i think the problem lies with the switch being o.o.a compared to the passenger side.

i have to lift the handle right to the top..... only slight inconvenience.

when i have more time i will remove the door panel and hopefully adjust..........
