I am replacing my standard suspension with 20 mm sport suspension. I dont see any way to remove the front sway bar (impossible) without dropping the whole suspension frame member. This look like it will work , but I dont feel like taking the whole front end out for replacing the sway bar. I am stuck. any advise ?? Loren ?

thanks

Remove all the bolds from the sub frame to the car bottom except the two most rear ones ( only release ), the sub frame will comes down on the front and you can use the room to remove the sway bar.

I was told by a race mechanic that you

need to remove the radiator hoses to get to the bolts

that hold the front sway bar on.

RFM's instructions are correct.

Did this on my 05 987 before I got my 997. Front end is the same on both. It is a bit of a bear in that you must lower that sub frame. Unless you have a lift available, recommend you go to a shop to have it done.

thanks rfm and all for your prompt response. i do have a lift and i am waiting for my buddy to give me a hand. I might just drop the whole subframe, this way i dont have to undo the lower ball joint, as i have to drop the carrier with the struts, as I am replacing the struts as well.

thanks
