I just replaced the electric changeover valve on my 1999 to repair the Aux air system, and now I have an air bag light. My scanner wont communicate with the SRS, so I can't dump the code.

I think I know what I did, I fired the engine with the passenger seat out of the car, thus the SRS module couldn't "see" the seat belt buckle. ( Stupid move ). I dont have the Durmetric s/w, so my question is: Is there any way to reset the system without a trip to the stealer ? I tried leaving the battery cable off for a couple of hours, no success :o I have taken a good look at the wiring under the seat to be sure I didn't have a problem there, and alls well.

Any suggestions ?

Thanks !

Gary

You will need the Durametric software, a PST2 or PIWIS to reset the airbag code.

Where are you located? - perhaps someone near you has one of these.

I was also stupid and took the passanger door apart to fix the window controls, but when I had the airbag out I had to turn the key on to operate the window. Anyone near Pittsburgh have one to shut off my airbag light
