I have an 03 Cayenne Turbo and would like to actually hear the V8, it's very much muted from the factory.

What would you recommend?

Mufflers? Catback? Cat bypasses? or full exhaust replacement?

Please specify the brand.

Appreciate any your input :)

The Turbos are largely responsible for the muffling - next would be secondary cats and then muffler. I am designing a set of straight pipes with no mufflers for my CT...my mechanic said he could pass it (PA) since the turbos qualify as mufflers. I am currently running a Supersprint muffler and it sounds pretty good...

Mine came with a TechArt exhaust and I have to tell ya I'm quite impressed with the sound. I've always loved the sound of American V8's and thought nobody could match that bad-*** sound. This comes pretty **** close!

bump

I have the Ruf exhaust on my CT and very happy with it. About the right level of noise for me with no drone.

start with cat bypass pipes

i can speak for practically everyone who installs them, they are great/must do mod!

if you decide you want louder add mufflers after that

I started with the BMC filters and IPD plenum, and the sound change is nice on throttle. I've got the bypass pipes and waiting for the time to do them, but I would assume that the combination will be a great sound, not to mention a few ponies.
