Hallo

is there any TSB for changing the Soft Top? I have a small hole in the soft top, and I would like to change it. But I just want to remove and change the soft top material without the inner construction.

Is that possible?

Thank you

extrememly difficult. I is a multiple person job and something that should be left to the dealer. Pricey, but worth it. Trust me, I have been doing research on this :(

What do you mean without the "inner material"; do you mean metal pieces, fabric or ?

A good upholsterer would be your best bet, I see tops for sale on E bay all the time. If they can get it off, you can get it on.

It's a little known secret that dealerships farm this out to upholstery shops.

Find one you trust and remember that a lot of those clowns smoke.

Also, make sure your battery is charged well before leaving your Boxster there.

:) I pulled mine off this spring to have rear window replaced,100.00 fix.It is a very time consuming project but not impossible if you are mech, inclined .it took about 5 hours to remove and three to put back once new window was put in.NOTE if you have this done have upholstery shop install 3M double stick tape where clear plastic meets frame I found it very hard to find oe sealant/waterproof tape in any catalogue. you do not have to pull metal frame out. one of my plastic ball sockets for top raise/ lower was broke. fixed at same time. ? feel free to e mail me will be glad to share my experience. good luck mcd.
