Here's the timeline... My interior has been in shambles for for about two weeks now. I installled the rear speaker kit, a dension gateway 500 and hard wired my V1. My schedule only allows me a few mintutes or hours each night to get all the work done. Battery has been disconnected and reconnected about a dozen times. Today I wrapped it all up. Seats back in. All the trim back in. Double checked the power seat connections. Turn it on and I have an airbag light. Thought maybe I could disconnect the battery again after the seats were reconnected to erase the airbag light. Nope. It's all back together and now I have an airbag light. Anyone have any idea of what I did?

no clue, but Durametrics will clear the light. good luck.

Can any OBD2 reader pull a Porsche fault code?

If the battery is connected and the connector to a seat removed and the ignition switch turned on = air bag light.

OBDII is for emissions and the air bag light has nothing to do with emissions. You need to find someone with a Durametric or PST2/PIWIS to turn the light off.

Some yes - some no.

Remember there are DME fault codes (which most readers can see) but there are also ABS, airbag, HVAC, instrument cluster, PSM, PCM, etc., etc. controllers that can also have fault codes.
