This may be a foolish question, but I can't seem to find the answer in all of the Manuals.

I have a 2007 C4S and can't figure out how to turn the radio off without turning off the entire PCM system? At times, I only want Nav without radio sound.

When I "mute" the radio through the "Audio" menu and then go back to the Nav Map screen, the radio continues to play!

Is this normal or am I missing a way to mute it or turn it off? Do I just have to turn the volume all the way down and live with it? - doesn't seem like the kind of thing the genius Teutonic engineers at Porsche would overlook. Either the PCM or I am out of kilter!

Thanks for the help. Ed

You can't shut off the radio separately, what you can do is increase the navi. voice volume and decrease the radio volume in the PCM menu. Take note that if you do this and someone else drives your car with the radio on, and the navi. comes in ..... the voice blows his head off.

RFM - Thanks for the quick answer. The voice of the Nav "Lady" is fine, I just wondered why the radio couldn't be muted/turned off when using the Nav system. Thanks again.

Oops - I just checked it again and it appears that if you "mute" the radio, it will stay muted until you touch the volume knob. Even after using Nav, Trip, etc, it will stay muted until fooling with the volume knob. Guess that's the answer!

Thanks all. Ed
