Jut used my Durametric for the first time. Got P1123 and DTC: 1123 , no information about what that fault is. Also got Porsche codes 357, 360 and 361 which all appeared to concern "oxygen sensor adaptation." Can anyone help?

P1123 Oxygen Sensing Adaptation Area 1 (Cylinders 1 - 3) - Lean Threshold

P1125 Oxygen Sensing Adaptation Area 1 (Cylinders 4 - 6) - Lean Threshold (DTC 357)

This says your DME senses that the mixture is too rich and it can not correct for it by leaning the mixture.

P1128 Oxygen Sensing Adaptation Area 2 (Cylinders 1 - 3) - Rich Threshold (DTC 360)

P1130 Oxygen Sensing Adaptation Area 2 (Cylinders 4 - 6) - Rich Threshold (DTC 361)

This says your DME senses that the mixture is too lean and it can not correct for it by making the mixture rich.

Very odd to see these four codes together.

Any mods?

Have you cleaned the MAF recently?

Perhaps you should tell us more about the car...

Loren,

I am also the first time user of the Durametric, also do not have a list of the fault codes for my 987 Boxster. Although the guys at Durametric are willing to assist me, I could not always ask them every time I have a problem. There are also some German language faults which they said they have not yet translate into English. Is there a list of fault codes and explanation that we could extract? My faults codes are

Airbag

Unknown DTC: 33017

C140

The only way you can get both the OBD II (emissions) fault codes and the other control fault codes is by getting both the OBD II manual (for your model year) and the service manual (for your model year).

There are quite a few more controllers in the 9x7 series cars so more potential fault codes.

Remember having a fault code does not always require a fix. Sometimes the problem corrects itself and sometimes it points to a real problem.

Sometimes faults can be gererated by simply disconnecting the battery.

Like anything they need to be taken into context with any problem you may be having.

So what (if anything) is wrong with your car?

Meldung timeout ...... steuergeraed = Message timeout ..... control box. Versorgungsspannung klemme 50 = Voltage on terminal 50.

Thanks Loren. let me do a reset and check if the fault come back on. Also, there is this Drive Link function in the Durametrics that i could deactivate certain links (eg Fan Stage 1 or the Cylinder 2 Injection Valve Off), i accidentally clicked on a couple of that, just wondering where could i find the status of the link (activated or deactivated)?

Also, would the car computer system resets itself to the default status the next time I start my car engine, even though I might have deactivated certain equipment earlier on?

Thank you RFM, now i know more about the fault codes. Maybe it's time for me to learn an addtional language..

Drive link menus on diagnostic tools are not able to change programmings permanently, i have no idea where the status is showed on Durametric, can't help.

Thanks for the info. I cleaned the MAF and the CEL went out for two weeks, but I noticed a definite misfire/loss of power in the 4500 to 5000 rpm range. This is a 98 with 63K miles on it. It finally threw the CEL on again, went off on its own after an hour. Put my Durametric on and got codes 1130 (Porsche fault 361 a) and 1128 (Porsche 360) explained as idle range in banks 1 and 2 exceed limit value. Car stats well, idles around 800 (std tran), runs fine until under load of high revs. Throttle response seems a little lagging compared to pre-fault.

BY the way, air filter is stock, and clean. I have a fuel filter but have not installed yet. Porsche fault code is "361" not the "361a" which I typed.

If you are noticing a power loss at higher RPM then you likely have a bad MAF.

Try unplugging the MAF and driving the car - if it drives the same and has high RPM power loss - then you need a new MAF.

Thanks. With all I read about people tinkering with that part, and it going bad, and given the time that it takes to get in there and man-handle it, I think I will just spend the $200. Does that make sense? Thank you for a wonderful service to everyone who loves this car.

Loren was right. Just installed the part, car runs like a top, hesitation at 5000 gone
