I just bought an 88 coupe and it tends to drift left under acceleration, and right under deceleration.

My thoughts are that this may be due to a rear alignment issue or a soft bushing in a trailing arm.

If anyone has experience with this and could shed some light on what may be the cause, that would be great.

have all the bushings checked, especially the front. then get a good 4 wheel alignment at a Porsche shop, one that puts weight in the car while performing the alignment, it does make a big difference

I had read that you were supposed to put 150 pounds in the driver seat when doing the alignment.

I have an appointment with a Porsche dealer on Thursday to go over the car.

I would hope they do it correctly.
