Sport exhaust 996TT

Recommended Posts

Hi

I'm new here and I can't find a DIY for installing an exhaust on a 996 Turbo.

the reason why I need this is because I have bought a sport exhaust from DesignTek and I want to install it by myself.

and since the people of Designtek ignore and avoid my questions so I try to find my answers here :D

thanks

I've been told that after the install of this exhaust the car will give errors on the dash... Is it easy to erase them, or change in the computer?? Not by myself but by the dealer... Because I don't want to tune my turbo with a ECU flash.

What do you mean by exhaust? mufflers or cats?

Changing the mufflers will not cause any faults or error messages. Changing the cats might.

The exhaust is in one piece, from the turbo to the end ;-)

but I am affraid the co2 sensors on the cats will give errors because its only a 100 cell cat. But I think it can't be a big problem for the guys at Porsche to fix this... I hope :-)

  • 2 weeks later...

I think the Samco are pretty and they color coordinate and can match the paint....but I'm not sure they do much but nail your VISA for about $700. I think my black ones look pretty spiffy and the price is right. Ahhh....the exuberance of youth.
