The new Tequipment Cayenne 5/2007 ( up to MY 2006) has a music player interface which is integrated to the center console storage compartment and enables an external music player ( iPod, MP3 player etc.) to be connected via the PCM or CDR-23 radio. Part no. 955 044 902 90. Anyone have this installed? Price? were can it be bought?

Here is the picture that is in the parts list.

There is also a "Operating Instructions Multimedia Interface" 997.044.901.74 that I assume is some sort of manual...

What is required to have to install just this part? where does it connect?

How does it work with the navigation PCM?

US MSRP is $487.01

For that price I would purchase the mObridge unit - it charges the iPod and allows control through the pcm and wheel.

The dealer here in Puerto Rico has ordered about 5 units to install.

I will get the quote on mine and post how much it will cost.

Watch out, it uses a hard wired FM modulation to hook into the audio system, you have to tune to a station to listen.

A little expensive for that type of solution when you can buy the parts for $30 except for the neat interface box

Hi all,

I can't understand how they justify charging for $500 for FM modulator interface.

I think Walmart sells similar for $60.

Anyways. Any experience between MoBridge or NavTV?

So far I have been able to find out that NavTV is cheaper and also lighter than Mobridge.

Am I missing anything else?

Thanks guys.

I have the installation instructions but they are 2.7Mb, larger than the attachment limit here of 2.05Mb.

The time quoted to install is 150TU which I understand means 1.5 hours.

It seems somewhat more sophisticated than the $30 kits referred to elsewhere and the FM tuning appears to happen automatically, not by "tuning into a station" as has been suggested.

Here, hopefully, are the installation instructions.

Thanks to Loren for increasing the file size limit.

Since this is a copyrighted TSB I have moved it to the TSB area. Contributing Members can view it there.

I just installed the NavTV unit it was a bit expensive about $900 cost+labor.

I am using it with my iphone and I find that it is working out great.

Need to get used to the intereface a bit.

I had my connector in the center compartment rather that the glob box which is the standard install.

This way you can also use the phone as well.

Let me know if anyone wants to see photos.
