Hi, everyone. I have owned my S since November 2007. I purchased it from a Lexus dealer in Chester UK. It is a 2004 manual model with 12000 miles on the clock. I just had it serviced at Tech9 motorsport in Hale Cheshire.(Fantastic outfit and very cheap for the UK) Anyway they told me my Rear main was leaking and would need replacing. As I had only recently purchased the vehicle with a 12 month warranty I approached Lexus to see if they would cover the repair. After inspection they confirmed the fault but said that it was not covered under my warranty. They had contacted Porsche Chester about fault and they agreed to do the job as a goodwill gesture with me only having to pay 10% of the labour charge, all parts free. That came to £93. Happy days!! :) Thay also found that my oil filler neck had split (£210) also not covered by my warranty. Not so happy days.

So nice one Porsche Chester. Bad skills Lexus and the warranty thats not worth the paper its written on. This makes me wonder how many other people could benefit from Porsches goodwill scheme. Is this the norm or have I just been very lucky?

My sympathy. It happened to me but then, i only get 10% discount on the labor and parts....... It was a nightmare.

Superb Lexus warranty, looks like only the halogen bulbs are covered.
