There was another thread on this very subject...I posted a dealership in the town of Ceres in Northern California who had the Mobil synthetic Delvac 75-90 for about $26 a gallon. The also told me they could get the Mobil synthetic in the hard to get 5W 50. Unfortunately I didn't find that out until after I paid $46 a gallon plus shipping to a company back east.....and Ceres in only about a half hour down the freeway for me.....CAVEAT EMPTOR.

I am not a Latin scholar, but it seems to me that CAVEAT EMPTOR ("Let the buyer beware") refers to the fitness of use of the product purchased and not so much the fact that you may have overpaid...

Just a thought.

thank you.

do u have the same tranny as a 911 turbo?

My 2000 996 C2 has the Getrag G9600 tranny. I am pretty sure the turbo has a more heavy duty unit.

I have been running the red line shockproof for about a month now, incl. 2 trackdays and things are holding up just fine.

Thank God I didn't misspell something.....did I leave out a coma....or perhaps end with a preposition?
