Hi Everyone,

I have been reading the previous posts about the Alarm Box under the Drivers Seat, and don't know if my problem is due to this.

I have a 97 Boxster where the door lock button on the key and dashboard don't work. The window buttons for going up and down also don't work. I checked all the fuses under the dash near the spoiler up and down switch. Could this be due to the Alarm Box? And if it is can it be changed without going to the dealer?

I'm wondering if the interior lights are working?

Sounds like you have a blown fuse(15AMP) on your alarm module.

I would pull the driver seat out then check ,,,,,try not to disconnect the wire hardness.

If the interior lights hasn't been working , most likely its the module fuse.

yes this can be resolved without going to the dealer, they will charge $200? LOL

leave the top open

torx socket or 10mm - remove 4 seat mounting bolts

fold the seat, tilt forward over the steering wheel

half turn the module mounting phillip screw/slide it out

replace the fuse(needle nose?)
