HELP!Brake wear, ABS, Battery light on!

My 98 boxster has a brake wear light on in 2007 before the winter. The car put into garage for the winter time.

In 2008 April, I drove it back on road. The brake light was still there. Couple days before, there are two new

lights on at the same time, ABS(YELLOW) and battery(RED) are on too.

However I can still start my car. But the problem is the steering wheel is too heavy. Normally, when the car

starts, the steering wheell will be light to turn left and right. Right now it is too heavy to do so.

After I drove it back to my home about 10 kms, the temperature was went over to 190. I open the coolant

cover in rear trunk, the coolant was push out to every where......

Can anyone tell me what is going on in my car? What is the meaning for each light on?

How much will be cost to repair those issue? (Approximately range)

I am really in hot water......

Are the brake pads really worn? If so, then the light won't go out until they and their sensors are replaced.

Strange dash lights could be an electrical fault (bad ignition switch) or very low battery. Was the car on a battery maintainer over the winter?

Never - ever open a coolant cap unless the engine is cold. You are lucky you were not burned. It says this in your Owner's Manual.

The car just brought in for 9 months. There is no record for any maintain history.

I think the brake pads and sensors need to replace.

The battery was replace by a new one when I got this car in last year.

However, what is a ABS light suppose to?

Also that, the steering wheel was too heavy to turn. That is strange and weird.

Wah.....I feel I really lucky..... I will never ever try again......

Remove the service cover and check the belt that runs the alternator, power steering, and water pump.
