Hello Guys.

I have a 2000 boxster 2.7 57k on it.

I did the polyrib belt due to a belt noise i suspected to be the polyrib and the fact that 60k is coming

So i did the polyrib but the noise is still there

It is kind of a squeaky noise coming from the rear passenger side ( not even close to the polyrib).

when i press the gas the noise goes away , but the moment i lift my leg of the paddle the noise comes back but it is not constant.....only after i drive the car for a while it becomes constant.

when i shut of the car , the noise is still there for about a 1/4 second.

What could this be??

If a noise is coming from the pulley and belt areas of the car and is not fixed by a belt (which they seldom are) then you have a bearing failure in one of the idler pulleys. I have not seen much discussion on here about those failurs. This could include the water pump too.

I thought of that as well but the noise is not coming from the pulley area. its more of mid right engine area.

I do have a leaking coolant tank or maybe it is something else now .... it started as a leak from the tank so i thought but now i see all these posts about leaking coolant and a noise and im starting to think "water pump" but there is no pulley noise.

Fuel pressure regulator on the fuel rail can become noisy, but this issue is uncommon, you can always check with a stethoscope.

I lifted the top engine cover.

and now it seems as tho the noice is coming from seems to be either AOS area or water pump area.

Also when AC is on the noise becomes lauder.

This is a pain in the but,

But i did notice my AOS gasket to be tightened wrongly and fixed that so slowly its getting there! :)

The noise seem to come from the throttle body. new topic made!
