Guys,

I received the part today & I'm comfortable doing the job but have a question.

Looks like there is some kind of protective insert in the end. Before I break something; am I supposed to unscrew the insert? Any other advice not covered by the Porsche manual (2003 TT)?

Thanks

I think that top cap should come off because the accumulator just screws on like an oil filter does.

Thanks Loren, that was exactly the case.

I'm trying to take my accumulator off but I can't.. I have a 22mm wrench with a curve at the end so I don't have enough room to turn it loose.

What else can I use to take this **** thing off guys?!?!?!

don't forget to pump down the system pressure!!!!!!!

if not you will have a lot of pressure behind the ball when you take it loose

Did you take that wrench back to Craftsman and tell them that you wanted a new one? They are warrantied against ALL defects....even those self inflicted ones.

Funny! If I did they'd probably patent the change and sell it back to us as an improved model
