Although I really want to lower my car ("08 997S w/ PASM), but my local dealer has stongly advised me against such a move because of the PASM. I'd love to hear anyone's thoughts on this who have either considered or have already done this upgrade.

Don't forget, your car with PASM, already sits about 10mm lower than a car without. At least this is true for the 987.

Lowered cars look great. But what about driveability (curbs, driveways, speed bumps and etc.) and comfort?

Hi,

I would go with this product.

Bilstein B16 Damptronic Coil over Kit For P97/P97S

You can get it here.

www.carnewal.com

I would also try sunset imports.

I have a friend who blew out one shock by putting

on stiffer and lower springs. The computer can not handle the lower

car without the lower shock. He blew the shock out at the track.

I ordered my set through http://www.livermoreperformance.com/

They were about the same price as Alex at Shark Werks (only spoke to him on the phone, but he was really helpful) could give me, and since I had dealt with Monty and Steve of Livermore Performance before I ordered it through them.

Drop shipped to my door (they should be on their way...!! :P ) for ~$2400.-

I plan on having a local shop install them, so if anybody has any tips on what to specifically be aware off, please let us know.

Thanks, best regards, Pete

I have the PS19 damptronics installed and love the setup. Car was lowered, aligned, and corner balanced. Now it is a rocket on rails. Since they are not PSS9s (you want to keep using PASM), they have only 2 modes - normal and sport, controlled by the PASM button. I find "sport" to be pretty harsh on uneven freeway and other roads...
