Yes they can, start removing with the right cat, than the left. Assembling in reverse order, first the left and than the right. Hope it helps.

I meant to take it off and leave the car without it. Think the car would hav more power.

You can replace the Cats with bypass pipes but in some state your car wouldn’t be street legal.

I don't know about the DMV rules in Florida, but here in CA you would never oass the bi-annual smog test without the cats. that is why Porsche has them there in the first place.

At leat here in Miami we uswed ti have abn emission test but not any more, so I guess is not a concern.

I am also in Miami and have been trying to figure out how to eliminate the cats on my 99 C4. It looks like the DME needs to be reprogrammed so we don't get a cell. Could you please PM if/when you do it, and let me know who did it for you.
