using electrical parts of another car

Recommended Posts

Hi porsche fans,

this is borisboem again cause my car is still not running. U know i had this electrical problem with my boxster S. Bad running engine on 1500 RPE max, no gaspedalreaction/acyivity probably caused by giving starthelp to another car. OBDII code 1502 is showing up all the time, maf sensor and throttle body are already replaced. Do u ever heard of problems after giving starthelp?

Do u think its dangerous to use the MAF sensor and throttle body of another boxster. I can use a friends boxster S form 2001, i have a 2000 S, to replace parts and to see whats is the problem. U know i had this P1502 code, replaced MAF and throttle but its still the same problem. I dont want my friend to have problems with his car after that and i am, kind of responsible for that.

I mean about resetting and using different DME's with this parts, is that not risky?

I appreciate if u will reply on this issue cause two different porschecar dealers here in Holland cant find the problem.

Boris

P1502 Throttle Jacking Unit, Spring Test – Above Limit

This fault says that your throttle sensor (not MAF) is bad.

The throttle body and sensor should be the same - unless he has updated to the new one. In that case you would need to get your DME programmed for the new sensor.
