Hi Guys:

Just finished painting the hood/trunk levels and the inside dood handle. For that I had to remove the dood pannels. Installed them and now the car won't lock, or I should say, it locks but it unlocks it self after a couple of seconds, does not matter if I lock it manually or with the remote. Anu Ideas, suggestions what it may be? Never turned on the key while the door pannels were off.

Also ther is no alarm beep at all. DId noticed the alarm led(red) on top of the dash bliks fast for some seconds.

Check the inside door handle cables, one of them is not in the good possition ( tightness ), the door lock have not reached the end possition. A diagnostic tool can help you out with fault codes and sensor positions.

Found the cause of the problem. One of the screws that hold the door panel, the one behind the inside handle, was grounding the cable that connects to the micro switch. The micro switch is open (not closing the circuit) when the handle is not being pulled, so by grounding the micro switch cable it was closing the circuit making the car think the door was open, therefore unable to lock. Solution, taped the cbale and re-routed so is far from the screw.
