Octane question

New here, apologize if this has been asked. I read that 91 octane is the recommended fuel.

My local station carries 93 octane and 89. Should I mix the fuel or find a new station that sells 91 octane or just use the 93?

Use the 93 Octane. Better that than mixing. Think of the minimum as being 91 Octane. I believe the engine ECU will adjust favourably for the 93 Octane, meaning better performance and fuel economy.

Buy 93 octane from the busiest name brand station in your area. Chevron if you can get it.

I usually get my fuel from a Valero and use the 89 octane in my bmw and SRX cadillac. They carry the 93 octane as well. I am in nowhere arkansas and there are alot of generic fuel stations that I avoid. I usually go to the Valero because its brand new and I assume the tanks are still fairly clean.

I will try to fill up along the interstates at Chevron when I find my way out there.
