Hi,

A new problem occured. Since a week, the battery of my turbo (2003) is empty after 2-3 days.

The battery is ok, generator works fine, no lights are on, but nonetheless my battery is empty after 2-3 days. Are there any known issues (before I ask the dealer to charge me 600$ to look).

Alarm light still blinks, but the remote does not work after 2 days. When I open the car (key) it does not start. After using a professionel booster, it starts again.

Help is appriciated.

Thanks, frank

Hi,

The battery has been replaced last august. It has been tested last week when it was empty. The ''battery man'' said it was fine.

Frank, you might need another "battery man". Draining a battery, and then recharging it may have caused damage. Never good to drain a battery. How was it recharged?

Hi White,

Recharging was done with a booster. Just enough to start the car and then I took the car for a 45 min spin! (always nice to have an excuse to drive the car). The person from the assistance agency said my battery was ok. I will have it checked Tomorrow. They will also measure for ''powerleaks''.ed

Keep you posted.

Frank

Do you have ANYTHING plugged in? Make sure all 3 cigarette lighters are open. One iPod charger is enough to kill off a battery in the TT (I know firsthand).

There is apparently a dealer mod to add a deep-cycle battery to power the auxiliary systems. I never looked into it, but I may sometime if it gets to be a problem.
