It is a MY97 made in November 1996, recently purchased by local owner Fong who came to our work on cars days last Saturday. He wanted to retrofit the trip computer/OBC so I gave him a list of the parts to buy. Then I looked at his VIN and it was lower than my January 1997 build. So I looked to see if he had a temp sensor - nope.

I retrofitted the temp sensor on a December 1996 a few years ago. My January 1997 non OBC option has it. The very early MY97s did not have it unless you had the OBC option. In the UK you do not have it unless you have a/c since that is not standard there.

Since Fong also has a horn that is not working and a scratched bumper cover I hope to do the temp sensor retrofit at the same time.
