Hi All,

I'm changing the ATF and Filter in MY03 Boxster 2.7L Tiptronic.

after checking the ATF Porsche part# 000-043-204-63 or 999-917-547-00 which suppose to be Esso ATF LT 71141, not sure what the color of this ATF.

went down to the dealer in rocklin and got 4 Liters (I think I need more than that) price is $17.80 per liter porsche part # 000-043-207-00 and it is goldish color. Is this the right ATF?

under the DIY Menu - retail price search, I entered all the part numbers above and this is what I got

part # 000 043 204 63 , desc is SS 00004320490 msrp $434.37

Part # 999 917 547 00 , desc is SS 00004320700 msrp $263.54

and

part # 000 043 207 00 , desc is transmission oil (20 msrp $314.71

Are these part numbers suppose to be the same, if so, why all have different MSRPs.

Help Please!!!

I don't have the exactly part # in my mind, but it is ESSO and the color is goldish, 4 liter is too little to do the oil change.

The part numbers (and prices) likely are different because they have changed products and suppliers.

I agree with RFM - 4 liter is just barely enough.

A new Tiptronic takes 9 liters and the service manual says an ATF change takes 3.5 liters - but my experience has been closer to 7 liters.

Hello.

I'm not sure for MY03, but on my MY97, the transmission is a ZF 5HP19

that was also installed in other car like Audi A4 and VW passat.

It's an easy DIY, and you can use VW/Audi oil G052162A02 or

Pentosin ATF1 since it's cheaper an it's the same as the Porsche one.

Good luck

El Acura you are correct. I actually got 4 liters of the VW G052162A01, difference between A01 vs A02 is the amount of ATF in container.

but 1 day later ( after reading so many threads ) went and got it from Porsche Dealer. VW is about a dollar more than Porsche.

Thanks for the reply

Hello.

What was the Porsche part number for the 1 liter container?

My dealer only sell 20 liters container for about $400...

that's why I bougth VW/Audi Pentosin oil for $9.50 per liter.

Thanks

El Acura

It is part # 000 043 207 00 , it is not solid in one liter container, at Rocklin Porsche if you bring your own container they'll give you what you need ( no halfs ex 3.5, 4.5...etc.) and it is $17.80 per liter.
