Hi,

I am replacing the mufflers (not sure whether this is the right word) of my carrera S. The number of the muffler under my car is slightlt different than the ones I have bought. I currently have (right side): 997/11, 997 111 311 04

The new one has : 997/11, 997 111 311 03. Is this the right one for my carrera S? Or did they sell me the carrera ones (because the 04 in the end is now a 04)?

Thanks, frank

Hi Loren,

I did not buy these at the dealer. Invoice only says carrera S exhaust. Because the number is different then what is currently under the car I am in doubt whether I have the correct one.

Is there a number on the muffler I can look for?

Frank

On the 996 mufflers there were both part numbers and assembly numbers. The real part number was usually next to the Porsche logo (triangle with a P inside).
