Hi Everybody,

I'm new to this forum having recently purchased my first Porsche - '07 987 GT Silver Boxster S (Ex Demo)

I've had a good look through this site and there's some great information on here. I have a question though. I've seen references to accessing the engine compartment in the owners manual but can't seem to see it anywhere. Is there a guide on here with photos?

Many thanks,

CJP80

Welcome,

It used to be in the owners manual but was removed in 06 by Porsche. However the 05 manual is available for download for contributing members on here:

05 987 Owners Manual

The pages you are after are from 185.

I think it's worth opening the engine compartment just to take a look at the engine. I'm one of those people who took apart old VCRs as a kid though.

Mine is a 986 so I can't help you there.

You don't have to be a Contributing Member to download the Owners Manuals.

Thanks for the help folks.

It's relatively straight forward when you have detailed instructions in front of you ;)

I wish I'd seen the side flap on the BOSE unit before trying to re-install the cable connector though - Duh!
