Finally went and bought a gray, 2003 Boxster w/ Triptonic.

I'm a 52 yr Financial Analyst who has always driven cheap cars. Manager specials (my VW Golf), Toyotoa P/U w/ rust, Toyota Camry (great car), two Saturns (never again) and so forth. I thought cars were a necessary evil, there used to be little mass transportation in this region of California.

I've admired the way the Boxster and the opportunity just came up for car that met all my variables (local seller, decent price, Tiptronic), so I decided, what the hell.

My insurance is going by $500 a year, but that's not too bad. I still have to clean the garage out so I'll have to get a good outdoor cover for now. The adventure begins...

KAKI:

Welcome to the "club", I hope you enjoy many years and many miles in your new (to you) Boxster.

I hope the fact that you posted under the topic "986 Boxster Top Issues and Solutions" is just coincidental. Since yours is a 2003, you won't have any of the issues that plagued the earlier Boxsters.

Regards, Maurice.
