Hey Everyone,

I recently began to notice that the carpets in the back seat has been wet. It seems to be most wet in the center channel on the floor behind the driver seat. The passenger side is dry as a bone. The Water has begun to travel to the front beneath the floor mat. I cleaned the two body drains under the front hood with compressed air. Still wet in the car. All door and sunroof weather stripping looks perfect. Doors and seats are Dry. I have ruled out the A/C.

Is there a TSB? Do you think I need to blast out the other two body drains? If so, I kinda know where they are located based upon the body drain diagram I have seen once, but I have no clue how to find/Access them.

Car Type: 1999 Porsche 911 C2

Any help?

Thanks!

Do not let it get the control box under the drivers seat (that is your central locking/alarm control). Very expensive.

Do a search here on drains - I have posted diagrams for both coupe and cab.

Just a thought but have a feel along the bottom of the door cards. If they are wet then water will travel into the footwell of the rear seats. The problem is normally caused by a failure of the door seal membrane behind the door card. If you replace or repair the membrane then the leak should stop. HTH

Anyone have a picture of how to access the rear water drain on a 99 911 coupe. I have the diagram, I'm assuming that it is in the rear driverside wheel well towards the back, but I'm just not seeing it? Do I have to remove the wheel?

Any help would be great!

Thanks

Just downloaded the manuals for 997.2 and attached image of the water drainage diagram.

Yes it looks like the moonroof drain lines are behind the rear wheels
