Hello Fellas,

I have a MY06 997C2S with the factory AeroKit front bumper, and have bought

a set of screens to protect the rad openings. Does anyone know the procedure for removing

the front bumper assembly? And if anyone has done this mod before, how did you secure

the screens in place, between the front bumper and vent openings? The kit says to drill some small

holes and secure with tiewraps :o . I am sure that someone out there has given this some serious

thinking. If so, please save me a few grey hairs trying to figure this out.

Thanks,

I purchased my screens from TRG. They are Porsche Motorsports sreens. My dealer installed by removing the bumper, as you state. While I don't have the info on removing, the dealer cost to r&r the bumper and install was about $120. In other words it must be fairly easy.

Thanks,

I did this on my 2008 997 last fall. I posted the instructions. Just do a search on "Front Bumper Removal on 2008 997" or search using my name "TxNative".

My screens did not have any instructions with them. After looking things over, the side screens I attached using silicone sealant. The center screen was a pressure fit. Hard to explain. Sorry, I did not take any pictures.

It is not hard to do, just take your time. There are some brackets/fasteners that are hard to get to.

Good luck.

Thank alot fellas,

Alot more confident now, with the added info. Silicone to hold them in, I would't have thought

of that one.

Thanks again-you guys are great.
