2001 996 TT Alternator Amps

In short, I've been trying to order a 120 amp alternator on the web for a few weeks, but the one I want to order has been out of stock. I notice on some of the part websites out there - that under the specific car description it offers maybe 9 alternators w/ amps ranging from 100 up to 150, all saying to be ok with this car. I thought the 996 TT took a 120 amp alternator, but can it also take one rated at 110 or 150amps? What's the difference? Thanks in advance.

I only see two in Porsche's parts/price list and one is marked for Tiptronic and one is marked for 6speed.

It's often much more cost effective to get the alternator repaired then replaced.
