trunk pull help

Recommended Posts

BLUF: Any ideas on why my front hood release will not engage.

1. Opens with emergency release

2. Feels at the pull lever like its locked

3. Rear trunk is opened and freely moving

4. No movement at hood latching mechanism when lever is pulled.

5. Tried to unlock it with central and key in door no luck.

6. looks like cable is still attached.

ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT, even poorly thought out suggestions like: check your flux capacitor, or you have to fit 88 miles an hour before the hood opens.

Also emergency hood release would better be descirbed as located in the under front of the car, under the spoiler, through the central openining, about a half a forearms length in.

THANKS AGAIN!

Thanks for the great help. my problem seemed to be that the cable was now too long and when pulled had to much play to unlock the trunk. I didnt see a post covering cable adjustment so i ghettofied the mechanism by adding a small clamp on peice of metal (read slip shot fishing weight) to "adjust the cable length. works for me.
