Hey Guys

I have a 2003 Boxster.. stored in a parking garage and didn't start it for too long and now the battery is totally dead. I can find the posts for releasing the hood with the battery discharged, but I can't get into the car. After I unlock the door, the window doesn't go down as it would normally. The door opens just a bit and then the window gets caught... do I just pull harder or is there a better way to get in?

Thanks a lot

If you can open the hood (with the cable that is under the wheel well liner), charge the battery for a few minutes and that will give the car sufficient power to retract the window that magical 1/2 inch.

In the alternative, you can just carefully pull the door open and the window will deflect enough to allow the door to open. This happens all the time in Boxsters with broken window regulators as they typically don't dip the window by the 1/2 inch when you pull on one of the door handles.

Regards, Maurice.
