I'm a new member and wanted to say hello to all.

I'm ready to purchase replacement coil packs but I'm

not sure which brand I should go with...Bosch, Beru, ???

and where is the place best to get them. Thanks !!

Both are good brands. I believe Suncoast has Porsche parts for just above cost.

Of course you mean Sunset Imports (Porsche Parts at Dealer Cost)?

I would stick with Porsche's revised coil packs - you want 948.602.104.03 or 948.602.104.05.

Sorry, yes Loren is correct.

OK, thanks guys, that sounds good. But I'm going to the dealer. The condition seems to be getting worse

and will let the pros handle it this time. Again, thanks for your inputs.

If your car is under warranty this should be free. Reference TSB 16/07 2820 Bar Ignition Modules (Coils) -- dated Jul 5, 2007.

Just wanted to update the status of my repairs for the benefit of others who may have a similar problem. I nursed my 05 Cayenne to the dealer with 58k miles on it.

He confirmed that the ignition modules were indeed bad and replaced ALL 8 via Porsches goodwill warranty, referencing the TSB thta Loren had mentioned before. Thanks again Loren !! Not too shabby. They even replaced my defective horn

for 25 cents on the dollar. The grand total for all this work? $44.00.

I just called Sunset Imports and the plugs are $13.17 each and the coils are $12.82 each for a total of $209. The dealer in Colorado Springs wanted $369.03 (of course that was "with tax").
