The back part of the rear passenger door handle on my 06 Cayenne pops out when the handle is opened. I can hit it hard to push it back in but it pops out all the time.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Do you know if a replacement / fix would be covered under warranty?

Thanks in advance...

Which back part, inside or outside ? The factory warranty covers the car during 2 years, contact the dealer in this case.

It is the outside piece that color coded and is a heavy metal - if it were on the driver handle it would have the key hole in it. I will try to get a pic oday.

Ok i know what you mean, the inside contra plate small plastic hooks are broken. Door locks and outside handles are difficult on Cayenne, you need the tech. bul., illustrations and knowledge. There is a big change that you can't open the doors after reinstalling, not on the inside and not on the outside, than you got a problem.
