How can I find out what version PCCB I have on my 2005 TTs (US) which was manufactured on January 2005. Today I heard real loud squeaky noise when I was breaking several times :o . I have only 10k on my car. I appreciate your advise.

They used two different PCCB rotors in MY05 - chances are you or your dealer will have to read the part number.

Both are better than the rev 1 version but I think the latest version is the best.

Thank Loren,

Do you know what caused the very loud squeaky noise. It happened several times yesterday.

Since I have washed the car, I have not been able to duplicate the noise again.

Is it possible that the break pads where dry????

I get squealing occasionally too, don't believe it's an issue. I've associated it to a few days dry weather & light breaking; It appears to go away when you make them work for a living ;)

It happened yesterday again after driving in stop and go traffic in Los Angeles. This is a very loud and long embarrassing noise you don’t expect from high end car! It sounds like what you hear from old trailers breaking.

Is there anything can be done? My car is still under factory warranty.

For thoes who are intrested to find out what was going on.

Dealer found the brake pad dampeners loose. They bleed brakes, R/R all pads and replaced noise dampners.

I hope this will resolve the noise.

I had the same problem. I Called Eric at Stead Porsch in Walnut Creek, CA. He told me to do a few hard fast stops form 60 to Zero a few times in a row. I did so on Skyline Blvd 80 to Zero Twice and it hasn't happened since. He says that you can get some residue on the Rotors from washing.

Hope this helps
