Rear brake/rotor shudder/judder

Hi

I hope someone can give me some help,i have a 2000 boxster (non S) , that needed new rear brakes, worn. i replaced the rear discs and pads but after a few months i started getting really bad brake 'shudder/judder', the parts dealer replaced the discs and pads, everything was good until a few days ago(4/5 months later), yes they seem to be experiencing 'shudder/judder' again :o . Each time we fitted the disks the backplate was cleaned etc, especially the second time.

Anybody ideas on what i have done wrong

Are you sure that the calipers are mounted correctly, the pistons not stuck and the wheels turns free without resistance? Are the measurements axial and lateral of the disc and the hub within the specifications? If yes try with original parts.

One other thing to check, in rare cases the wheel brngs can cause a problem, be sure they are tightened correctly and don't have excessive movement.

After a warranty rear bearing job at a dealer, I ended up with a bad shudder while cruising along a 60-70mph. Turns out the mechanic didn't seat the right rear E Brake into the slots on the bottom of the shoes. They stuck out about 1/4" and burned up the E Brake shoes.
