Hello everyone, i got a 04 c v6 at 30000miles , becouse of the problem i went to p service, they told me they should change front whell bearings, but after change i can still hear the humming noise between 30-70 mph, what can be the cause of the noise? Can you help.

Some Cayennes have had problems with the universal joints/cardan shafts - especially the 2003 and 2004 models. I'm not sure if this is what you are experiencing, but it could be. Do you know if this issue has been previously addressed on your Cayenne?

I also have this problem on my cayenne V6, its so bad it makes my head hurt if I don't have the stereo on.

Anyone know more about what could cause this?

mine is a 2004, done 97.000km (60.000Miles)

regards

Most likely cardan shaft. It's impossible to even have dealer inspect it. I had two dealers tell me it looked fine (no play, etc). Finally bit the bullet and had replaced for $920USD. No more vibration/humming/shaking. Mine did as described...humm/vibrate (would actually shake the whole vehicle) but only between 45-60mph.

I had my front left wheel bearings changed and it cured the problem ;-)
