Hi, I am new to this forum. I am thinking of purchasing a used 2006 Carrera S Coupe, 6-speed, Bose system, power seats. It has 15,000 miles. Looks to be clean and Carfax was also clean. Price is $63,000. Is this a good buy? Thanks.

That is about 10% below the best listings in Porsche Market Letter w/ similar mileage. I see 4 '06 997 S...from high 60s to low 80s. Other than that you need to drive it or have it inspected.

Unfortunately, or fortunately, depending on whether you are a buyer or a seller, prices are falling. I purchased my '06 Carrera 997 in Dec. '07. The M.S.R.P. on this car was $99K. I purchased mine with 1800 miles for $70K. I saw an even better deal on eBay. An '06 997 S with 4000 miles, M.S.R.P. $107,000 plus the owner had added new BBS wheels. The car sold for $72K. All cars, especially high end ones, are not selling well.
