Exhaust tip recommendations

I'd like to replace the rather dull looking tips on my '04 996 C2 with chrome tips, possible the dual pipe type that I see on a turbo, or just single pipe types.

Does anybody have an reconmendations on what I should buy, and also how hard are these to fit? Do I need a ramp?

I've seen some that look good on the performance products site. I've also seen some on ebay, but am wary of buying junk.

I have a 2002 911 and when I purchased the car it looked brand new except for the exhaust tips . . After doing some research my options were to purchase replacements . . or polish . . Replacements were around $250 to $600 . . and friend of mine in metal fab told me to get them "professionally" polished . . To make a long story short, I went for the polishing option. A $125 later my exhaust tips look like they were chrome dipped but of course they are polished SST and OEM at that . . . .

They even polished the large connecting bolt that attaches from the underside . . I am very happy with them now . . Also . . when they get dirty the wipe clean . .

I was dealing with the same situation a few months ago. I finally got the DANSK Turbo Quad Tip from Performance Products. The stock are of poor quality and finish and the Turbo Quad Tips are SS and much larger than stock and have the look that belongs on this fine car.

I agree with 99C2, I also bought the Dansk tips but the ovals. It makes a nice difference. The Dansk are of great quality.
