Currently I am trying to decide between getting an 04 CayenneS or waiting for the 05 S. Concerns mainly involve; the 05 may have more power? (unknown) I think I had seen a post regarding the new facelift, the change in looks, have no idea if the facelift talked about is drmatic or not?

Do you think they will be able to apply the areokit to the 04,( that of course if it compliments the SUV).

Does the changes in looks compliment the Cayenne or is it drastically different?

Will the XM or Satellite radio be able to be added to the PCM2 System? Or will I need an entirely new system? SHould I Get the 04 without the current Nav system and wait for the 2 DVD disc system with Satellite radio? I prefer factory to aftermarket.

AS you can see I see I am still trying to piece together my decision, I want to be sure as this will be my first Porsche and Porsche has been only a dream of mine till now. Any information you could provide or advice I would find extremely useful.

If you're leasing the monthly payments might not be that different. In that case I would wait until the 05..probably a better NAV system, but I'm guessing that the 05s won't look different than current. If it ain't broke, don't fix it theory..

See this thread on 2005 face lift: http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=1809

The 2005 also have certain comfort features as standard.

I am not leaseing and I am simply hoping that the Cayenne S will hold its value. In addition, of all the times I was at my local dealer, they almost have no stock and all the new vehicle that came in with plastics cover, etc. have been pre-sold. So I reckon that the dealer is not prepared to keep stock so in a sense the dealer is keeping the supply low and so I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Well I actually just took delivery of the 04 Cayenne Yesterday. Im very happy with it. From what I could tell at the dealer, if I wanted to take the 05 it might have been a few bucks more and I would have to order based on packages then ala carte for the options I wanted. All in all lets face it they are not going to change it much, so Im happy.

I was also pondering on the same topic. Since the changes between 04 and 05 are minimal, I decided to get a 04 CTT because I couldn't wait another month for the 05. Like Joe stated, 05 will not have much discount, making 04 a better buy. I took delivery of the car just a few days ago and I'm totally lovin' it! :jump:
